KARACHI (Dunya News) - Authorities have imposed a micro smart lockdown in three sub-divisions of Karachi s District South on Sunday due to rising coronavirus cases in these areas, Dunya News reported.

A notification issued by the district administration stated that multiple localities of Garden, Saddar and Civil Lines areas of District South in Karachi will be under lockdown.

Assistance Commissioner, Garden, Saddar and Civil Lines are directed to provide logistic support in order to implement the lockdown in close coordination with Health Department and law enforcement agencies.

Unnecessary movement of the people residing in areas under lockdown shall be restricted. No gathering three or more persons shall be allowed in public spaces.

The micro lockdown shall remain until active cases in these area come down to zero. All businesses shall ensure COVID-19 SOPs are followed in letter and spirit.
